O365 update installation logs for SCCM

Hi All

When patches are deployed via SCCM, the patches that get installed are logged in Wuhandler.log. It shows when the patches are installed and finished.
However, i dont see this for O365 Updates. If someone can point me to where to look for the same information as to what time/date the patch installation started and finished.
Thanks
Dave

Hi, @DavidMoon-1992
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
We can also track the installation process from UpdatesDeployment.log, UpdatesHandler.log, for the full process how clients evaluate ans install the updates, you may refer to the article for more details:

So O365 Updates follow the same process as well?
I haven't come across a machine that showed Office 365 update being mentioned in Wuhandler.log.

Hi, @DavidMoon-1992
Based on my experience, UpdatesDeployment.log should have the record for O365 updates.
WUAHandler.log records details about the Windows Update Agent on the client when it searches for software updates.
You may check AlternateHandler.log for O365 installation. It's similar to use of WuaHandler when it calls the Windows Update Agent API to download and install Windows updates.

Here is also a User Voice about this:

Thanks AllenLiu. Yes i did manage to see a trace of information about o365 update in updatesdeployment.log and updatehandler.log, but it is pretty cryptic, and not easy to spot. Cheers. Dave.
