Remote Desktop Mac screenshot clipboard issue

I noticed a problem when using Microsoft Remote Desktop on OSX 11.4 on a Macbook Pro M1 where if I take a screenshot within remote desktop using the Mac screenshot tool (sending the screenshot to the clipboard), the screenshot is not available to paste within remote desktop. If I minimize the remote desktop session and go back to the Mac side, I am able to paste that screenshot though. So it is just a problem of it being made available to to the remote desktop clipboard.

Funny enough, if I use the same screenshot tool on the Mac side to take a screenshot, and then go back into remote desktop, I can paste that screenshot without issue. So the problem only seems to be when both taking a screenshot and trying to paste it within the same remote desktop session.

My only workaround at this time is to select the screenshots to be automatically saved as images to the mac side desktop so when I screenshot in remote desktop, it does indeed work and saves the image file automatically on the Mac side. It's annoying because I then need to copy/paste that file over to the remote desktop side and then insert it where I need it as opposed to being able to quickly just take a screenshot and paste it in.

HI ChrisR1fz-2239,
1.What's the version of Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac do you use on Mac computer?

2.If we install Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta Version 10.6.7 (1896), will the same issue happen?

I am using Microsoft Remote Desktop Version 10.6.7 (1896) that has the issue. I will give the beta a try though. Thanks.

So I am on the beta now but I just noticed that the problem only seems to happen within Outlook! Which is incidentally the only place I really need it to work. When I use the screenshot function and paste to paint all within remote desktop, it seems to work fine. Same with Word oddly enough. I will do some further testing to make sure this behavior is consistent and only impacts Outlook.

The version of Outlook I am using is: Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14026.20294) 64-bit

Update
Using the normal version of Remote Desktop and NOT the beta, taking a screenshot within remote desktop and trying to paste it anywhere from the clipboard within remote desktop does not work at all. Using the beta, it seems to work everywhere except in Outlook. BUT, if I paste the screenshot somewhere else first within remote desktop (like paint or Word), i am then able to paste it into an Outlook email. Very strange. It's almost like the clipboard is not updating for Outlook automatically.

HI ChrisR1fz-2239,

1.What's the version of remote destination server?

2.Is it possible build a test remote server in your environment and install the newer version of Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365, then check the result?

The remote server is on the latest version of Windows 10 21H1 and the latest version of Office 365. Tried running updates on it earlier and none were available.

It is still not working unfortunately. I can do a screen recording if you like as long as there is a way to share it with you privately.
