Kinect v2 Update Configuration Definitions & An Infinite Loop

I'm trying to get my Kinect-One to work with my PC via this link tool: kinect-for-windows-v2-setup-with-adapter

It has worked in the past, but I can't seem to get it up and running now. There seem to be quite a few issues but I'm just starting with the most clear one and hoping that fixes everything. I have downloaded all the diagnostic tools. Every time I check it with the configuration verifier it tells me this:

Problem One:

"Updates the configuration data used by this application."

I have no clue how to fix it, and it says it is using the "last known good definitions" but I'm uncertain where it is getting those from if it can't even find the updated ones.

Problem Two:

(An important note: I have quintouple-checked, and my USB ports are bus-powered SuperSpeed 3.0 ports, and I have downloaded all possible hardware and chipset drivers for my PC. I run a stock Alienware 0XJKKD Area 51)

When I plug in my Kinect, 3 things happen in a cycle. This cycle repeats on about a 10 second loop until I unplug the KinectOne from the adapter.

I've been all over the web following all sorts of help forums and trying all sorts of stuff and this cycle never fails to be the final result. At some point I was able to get a single depth-frame shot out of it, but then it would power down and power back up again. If anyone out there knows the fix for this I'd be forever in your debt.

I nearly pulled a Markiplier last night trying to get this to work xD.

Thank you in advance to anyone who tries to help me with either of these problems. Until then I'm gonna go back to trying different things to see if something will work.

Cheers,
-Shwaldeen

(PS: I've had no choice but to tag this under the Azure Kinect tag because it appears as though the entire Kinect for Windows v2 SDK help forum has been ARCHIVED and kinectforwindows.com has been SHUT DOWN because why support a product one generation behind the current model, right? Jeez... and people complain about Apple being greedy.)

Hello @Shwaldeen-8451 Sorry for the inconvenience caused. This forum supports only Azure Kinect DK device-related queries. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, the Kinect V2 support is ended.

Manufacturing of the Kinect for Windows has been discontinued. The next generation of Microsoft’s category-defining depth sensor lives on in the Azure Kinect DK, a developer kit with advanced AI sensors for sophisticated computer vision and speech models. For more details please visit the Azure Kinect website.

Please try the new version of Azure Kinect DK. This question will be kept open for community incase if you get some help to resolve issues.

Same here... I've got the same issue and the kinect worked like a charm til about a year ago. Now I would like to use it again but I'm having this problem.
Did you manage it?
