change email address then immediatly add previous as alias

I have an exchange online account:
eh@mybusiness.com

I want to change the account to be:
bee@mybusiness.com

I then I want to immediately add the alias eh@mybusiness.com to the account so it will continue to receive emails while we phase out that address.

Can I immediately add the previous email address ass an alias after changing it so I don't miss any emails?

Thanks.

No need to remove it.
Simply add the new address: bee@mybusiness.com
then make it the primary Reply Address and both addresses will now be associated with that account

Thanks for the response. After doing this, does my username change when I logon to the reply address or does it stay the same?

IIt will stay the same unless you change it as well.
