Personal subscription linked to my company's Azure profile. How can I unlink them?

Hi,

I signed up for a free Azure subscription in my personal account, but somehow it got linked to my company's Azure profile.
This subscription only appears when I sign in using my work e-mail, but I receive alerts about this subscription in my personal e-mail.

I sent a ticket 15 days ago about this issue with no answer.

Today I activated my Visual Studio Professional with GitHub Enterprise $50 monthly credit Subscription within my work e-mail, but when I try to add a Visual Studio Professional Subscription to my Azure work account, Azure portal says I am not eligible for this offer.

I am afraid these issues could be related. I sent a ticket through Azure Portal with my work e-mail, but is there anything I could do to solve these problems?

Any advise on how I can proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Try signing into the Azure Portal using each account and compare the directories that you have access to (click your name in the top right hand corner of the screen and select switch directory > All directories).

This will tell you which Directories your accounts are linked to. e.g. your work one may be work.onmicrosoft.com and your personal one may be yourname.onmicrosoft.com

If you find that your personal account lists access to both directories then you can potentially transfer your Free Azure Subscription. You can do this by logging in to your personal account, going into the portal, navigate to the subscription (hosted in your work directory) and click on Change Directory then move it to your personal directory.

Hope that helps...

Hi, Christopher!
Thank you for your response.

I signed in into Azure Portal, and each account only shows its respective Directory.
In my personal account I couldn't find any reference to my work email.

In my personal account I found that in the Add Subscription menu, the Select Offer button in the Free trial is enabled, but I can't create the subscription because I am not eligible anymore.
In my work account, the Select Offer button is disabled. But every message about the free subscription within my work account goes to my personal email.

Hi, SadiqhAhmed!

I sent the Support request ID 2106020040005030 with my personal account in jun 2. At that time I created an Azure free subscription with my personal account but the subscription got into my work account.

With my work account I sent the Support request ID 2106240040004457 in jun 24 about Azure not allowing me to add a Visual Studio subscription.

Hi, DSPatrick!
Thank you for your response.

I signed in into Azure Portal, and each account only shows one Directory. I am not sure if there is any other service linking the accounts.

I followed the second link instructions but in my DevOps personal account, the Azure Active Directory is empty.
In my work account, I don't have any project in Azure DevOps.

@CatiaYamamura-7100 Per your support request #2106020040005030 the issue is now resolved.

You had a concern that the accounts are linked and that needs unlinked.

SE confirmed that the accounts are not linked, to view them separately you can open an incognito window in the browser and try to login to the Azure Portal, then you can view both counts separately.

Thanks!
