Why do all OneDrive users see two specific folders from root SharePoint site under Shared Libraries?

Hi there

All OneDrive users see two folders from the root SharePoint site under Shared Libraries? (The Shared Library has several folders open to Everyone Except External users, still, just these two folders show up in all users' OneDrive under Shared Libraries)

We do not want those folders to show up in OneDrive.

Hi frob,

Per my research there are some method for you to solve this issue.

1.You could try to reset your OneDrive: Press “windows” + “R” and type “%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset”. Wait a few minutes and then press “windows” + “R” and type “%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe”.

2.You could try to use Registry Editor: Press “windows” + “R” and type “regedit.exe” and go to this location “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace”. Click folder one by one to find “OneDrive” then right click and select “delete”.
Note: It's better to backup your data that is in OneDrive folders just to make sure no data loss occur.

Hi Casey

This is not a personal problem. It happens for every user in our company.
Every user is able to see two specific folders in our root SharePoint document library Shared Documents. (The same library has many folders which are accessible by Everyone Except External users, still, just these two specific folders show up in OneDrive > Shared Libraries (for every user's OneDrive account in our company)

We do not want those two folders to show up in all users' OneDrive.
