no tools in DSVM

I created DSVM and connected via RDP. There are no pre-loaded Data Science tools on my DVSM. No short cut icons (apart from dust bin and edge) nothing in the start menu nor on disk. I tried several times with various DSVM configurations Windows/Widows server and have the same problem.

Hi,
I made few more attempts selecting DSVM as shown in the answer (except that I do not have 'Gen1' at the end of the label). The problem is still there, this is something about the loading, I saw briefly a message ' could not load file or assembly...'

The issue might require extensive troubleshooting so I will suggest you to open a Support Ticket with Microsoft Tech Support for the issue since they will be the right resource to help you out on assisting on the issue better.

If you don't have the ability to open a technical support ticket, you can email me with Subject as "ATTN: Preeti" at AzCommunity@microsoft.com and provide me with your Subscription ID and link to this thread. I can then enable your subscription for one time free support.

Also, once you get the issue fixed, request you to reply back here on the thread with the resolution steps for the benefit of the community

Hi,

I just tested by creating a Data Science Virtual Machine - Windows Server 2019 - Gen1 from the Azure Marketplace, I RDP'd to the DSVM virtual machine and I do have plenty of tools, as mentioned here:
