A few weeks ago, my PC shutdown incorrectly because I had a power outage at my home. Now, every time I start my PC, it runs a scan and repair on the C drive. I noticed in event viewer that there is a 98 error code on every startup - I ran chkdsk like the error message suggests. I ran chkdsk manually on command line and also through Local Disk (C:) Properties -> Tools -> Error Checking -> Check -> Repair Drive. Chkdsk said it found corrupted files and repaired the drive, but the problem persisted. I also tried running an SFC scan and DISM - both said it also fixed my errors but again the problem persisted. Not sure how else to fix this issue.... I am concerned my hard drive is failing and wanted to back it up but I cannot even do that now because of these errors. Any help would be much appreciated.
