Windows Virtual desktop - Automatic shut down of VM's in spring 2020 release hostpool

Hi,

I created WVD - Hostpool using azure portal (spring 2020) release. I want to know how to do automatic shut down during off peak hours in this release.

All the article and powershell scripts present online are for fall 2019 and do not work with my host pool.

I need this to work and show it to my business.
Please help.

Regards,
Rohit

@RohitPant-2143 Best place to look is the updated scaling script which is itself in preview

Since the scaling script is itself in preview there might be certain functionalities which may or may not work as expected being the component in preview mode.

You can test the same in your test environment to get better understanding of working of the script .

Note: It is not recommended to test the preview component in Production environment.

I think the scripts have some glitches like
1. During PeakTime duration even if user sessions are below threshold, VM's are not getting shut down.
2. No minimum count for VM's during peak hours. How will the VM's start if I set minimum RDPSession count as 0 and all VM's are shut out at night.

I also found an article with all the scripts running from one place
https://wvdlogix.net/windows-virtual-desktop-host-pool-automation-part-3

I have updated the runbook script as per my use case.

Thank you for your help and inputs
