Meeting request

Hello everyone

I created a new meeting in calendar (outlook 2016).

I sent the invitation to me and my friend.

My friend got the invitation but I didn't.

How can I fix it? How can I get a invitation?

Thanks

Hi @michaellustig-6655 ,

I sent the invitation to me and my friend.

Do you mean that you are using the same email account to send and receive meeting requests in Outlook desktop client?

In order to confirm whether you have successfully received this meeting request, please try Outlook search feature to search this specific meeting request within “ALL Outlook Items” and see if you could get these results. According to my test with Outlook 2016 and Outlook 365, I can successfully receive the meeting request in the “Deleted Items” folder instead of in the “Inbox” folder(since you are the meeting organizer), and it can be successfully displayed in my Outlook Calendar. If this is the same as your case, please feel free to understand that this is quite normal.

If Outlook search fails to find your meeting request, it is suggested for you to try logging in to your web mail and do the same search to see if there is any difference.

Thanks for you reply.

I found the meeting request in "deleted items"

Can I change the configuration or the design...meeting requests will show in Inbox instead of "deleted items"?

Hi @michaellustig-6655

Thanks for your reply!

As far as I know, when the meeting organizer sends the meeting to himself, the invitation email is moved to the deleted folder because the organizer do not need to respond to the meeting, so as to avoid the disturbance caused by unnecessary mail.

Through my tests on my outlook client, trying to create rules to make the conference invitation sent to myself move to the inbox, but it doesn't seem to work. And I've done a lot of searches, but didn't find any helpful suggestion. I'm afraid there's no way to automatically move email settings that are automatically moved to deleted folders to inbox.

If possible, please let me know what your original intention is to move this email to inbox. Maybe we can provide some suggestions.
