Intune Windows Expedited update Error

Hi,

We deployed the Windows Expedited update to our devices that were not yet compliant and we have received errors on the deployment. Not sure if this is something we could deploy manually via Intune to get the Health Tools installed? I know this is an update that needs to be installed but I am wondering why our devices are not installing it or don't have it installed if this is a requirement.

Below is the error we have on all of our devices we deployed to.

@LeonTaljaard-1502 Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

To clarify this issue, we appreciate your help to check if the Update Health Tool is installed in Settings > Apps.

If not, please try to manually install Microsoft Update Health Tools by installing the update KB4023057 on your device in accordance with your Windows version. Go to Microsoft Update Catalog and download the update that matches your OS version. Then check if this issue disappers.

Generally, it will install automatically when the device get the patch.

If there is anything update, feel free to let us know.

Hi,

Thank you for the prompt response but doing this manually would be a problem because we have over 1500 devices that are showing this error. So it would be great to be able to apply this update or manually deploy it to these devices.

@LeonTaljaard-1502 Thanks for your update. From your description, I know that you want install KB4023057 in over 1500 devices and didn't want to install one by one. If there is anything misunderstanding, feel free to let us know.

From intune's point of view, it is suggested to try to deploy the update KB4023057 as the win32 app in intune. We can refer to the following article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/deploy-windows-update-packages-as-win32-apps

Hope it will help.

@LeonTaljaard-1502 @RahulJindal-2267 I have researched this issue again. I think we should focus on why didn't install the Update Health tool automatically.

Given this situation, it is needed to check the background information to find the root cause. So, it is better to create an online support ticket to handle this issue more effectively. It is free. Here is the online support link and hope it helpful.

Is there atleast a direct link to download the health tools that can be packaged up? I have not been able to find it either.

Based on my understanding and research, the Microsoft Update Health Tool is a part in KB4023057 and it seems that there is no method that we can install the Microsoft Update Health Tool directly.
