Azure Virtual Desktop application Group assignments not Working

I have Created a hostpool and session host in azure and assigned a user to the automatically created Desktop access group for testing. When I attempt to access the resource using the web client I am shown a message reading:

"It looks like your system administrator hasn’t set up any resources for joe@completecontact.net yet. Please choose a different account or try again. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact your system administrator."

I tried both the modern and classic web access links:

https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient/index.html
https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/webclient/index.html

Thanks in Advance,
Joe Miller

Hi @JosephMiller-0304 ,

just to verify:
The Host VM is member in a Active Directory? (AADS or "local" AD)?
The user is a member in the same AD domain as VM?
The group is member in the same AD domain as VM and user?
Everything is synced from AD to AAD?

It seems like neither the VM or the App group are in the active directory. I didn't get any errors about failing to join the domain during deployment of these.

Best,

That's weird.

It's possible to check the VM is joined in a domain?

I can't connect to it at all I'm finding now, but it is listed as VMname.domain.com

Ok I was able to connect and it is definitely joined to the domain but the users still can't access it from the web.

@JosephMiller-0304 Apologies for the delay in response and all the inconvenience caused because of the issue.

As per mentioned here in a similar issue Can you please check if you have assigned 'Workspace’ against your application group? You can find it here as below at time of creation as well:
