Windows 10 TPM PTT and ME

I want to use TPM under Windows 10. My mobo does not have a TPM module but I can get TPM through the Intel CPU using PTT. If I enable PTT then ME (Intel Management Engine) must also be running? Now ME is corporate app and can present security issues. Is there a way to use PTT without ME so that I can have TPM?

Hi

With regard to your problem , we suggest you ask Intel support teams in their forum https://community.intel.com/

Here is another article about Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT): TPM For The Masses ,which may be helpful .

Hi @StanKasper-4297,

As far as I know you don't need the Intel Management Engine to be installed or present to enable Intel's Platform Trust Technolog (PTT), I have used it completely without at least. If you want confirmation from Intel, you'd better ask them in their forums over here:

If I go into device manager I see the Intel ME listed regardless of whether PTT is enabled. I agree the question needs to be asked on the Intel forums. However Windows 10 by default seems to let this run. And my particular mobo does not allow me to disable ME. What would be the accepted answer to ensure Windows is protected from any changes from ME?
