Could not edit Advanced Audit configuration form AGPM-->Controlled GPO.

Error: A severe error occurred while has caused Advanced Audit configuration to unload. There is not such object on the server.(Exception from HResult:0x80072030)


All AD related Ports are healthy.
Tried from PDC and non-PDC.
No errors on Eventviewer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Thank you for posting here.

Based on the description above, I understand you cannot edit Advanced Audit configuration form AGPM on all DCs including PDC and non-PDC.

Please confirm the following information at your convenience:

1.When the issue occurs?
2.How long did this problem last?
3.Have you done any change in AD environment before the issue occurs?
4.Would you please check whether you can edit Advanced Audit configuration when you edit any other GPOs?
5.Would you please check if you can edit Advanced Audit configuration from local group policy (open gpedit.msc)?
6.Please check if you create a new GPO, can you edit Advanced Audit configuration form AGPM?

Any soon we move cursor to 'Advanced Audit configuration' section. Other policy setting are ok to edit.
2.How long did this problem last?
always
3.Have you done any change in AD environment before the issue occurs?
No changes.
4.Would you please check whether you can edit Advanced Audit configuration when you edit any other GPOs?
Yes, can edit other policy settings.
5.Would you please check if you can edit Advanced Audit configuration from local group policy (open gpedit.msc)?
gpedit.msc changes working. Uncontrolled GPOs working. ONLY controlled GPO Advanced audit setting this error.
6.Please check if you create a new GPO, can you edit Advanced Audit configuration form AGPM?
Tried , failing still.

Hello @Makudu,

Thank you for your update and confirmation.

From the error message, it seems it is related to the AGPM .exe tool on DC, you can reinstall the tool if possible to see if it helps.
