Is upgrade from Win 8.1 preinstalled (OEM) to Win 10 Home possible?

Can I upgrade my Win 8.1 (with OEM license) to Win 10 Home?

Hi @CatherineHennig-6652 ,

technically the upgrade should be possible.

But you need a Windows 10 Home license for the upgrade.

If you have any problems performing a free upgrade (8.1 > 10) you can open a new thread (post a link into this thread).

There are several methods available.

Windows 8.1 reached the end of Mainstream Support on January 9, 2018, and will reach end of Extended Support on January 10, 2023.
With the general availability of Windows 8.1, customers on Windows 8 had until January 12, 2016, to move to Windows 8.1 to remain supported.
