SBS 2011 Essentials to Svr 2019 standard

Hi all. I would like to upgrade an existing SBS 2011 Essentials server to 2019 Standard because our new Sage updates no longer support SBS 2011.

I would like to keep the same machine as it exceeds the spec for 2019 and to keep costs to a min. I am not using exchange, just AD for logons and file storage.

Can I buy Server 2019 standard, pop the media in and upgrade it in place?

Thanks

An in-place upgrade would not be supported.

Although that wasn't the answer I hoped for, I appreciate the clarification

You're quite welcome.
