Do keep in mind though that by moving the licenses to a newer licensing server you will not upgrade them to that version.

In general, the process of moving the RDS License to new server consists of two parts:
1.Confirm RDS CAL connection method in the new license server
2.Migrate RDS CALs from another license server to this license server followed by wizard
Notes: please ensure that you've prepared the necessary License information with the paper agreement to complete the migration CAL wizard.
