if you send a meeting invite to 50 people you don't want 50 responses back into your inbox to say that people are coming or not (ie by the recipients replying and clicking "Send the Response Now"). however you DO want to be able to go into the meeting Tracking tab and see what action recipients have taken in response to your invite. Recipients should therefore be able to select 'don't send a response' and their action (i.e Accepted, Declined, Tentative) nonetheless still show on the Tracking tab of the meeting. is there something that everyone in my entire organisation of 40,000 plus people is not doing that they could be doing to allow this to happen or is Outlook just not designed to allow this? if not please could you add this capability as soon as possible because it's just so inefficient to not be able to see how people have responded to an invite in the tracking tab. people are being responsible and considerate by clicking "don't send a response" so they should not be penalised for doing so by the meeting organiser and other recipients not being able to see who is or who isn't coming to their meeting
apologies, this is my first time using this forum so i'm not clear whether anyone from Microsoft actually looks at these posts or if it's purely a user forum
