Have a VB6-program which has worked guite well for more than 10 years with Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 version 1903.

Now, when I try to run the VB6-program with Windows 10 version 1909, text-strings in the program which contains letters

Å,å,Ä,ä,Ö,ö will not be written correctly on the screen. The ASCII-codes för the letters will be totally wrong.

Nothing has been done to the VB6-proram, I just updated the 1903-version to 1909.

What is the reason? Do I have to go back to version 1903 to be able to use the VB6-program?

Looking forward to an answer.

Welcome to our new Microsoft Q&A Platform.

On Windows side, what we can do is very limited, just check or uncheck Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support option, then restart.

If this way no help, you need to roll back to previous 1903 for normal work, please also feedback this situation via Feedback Hub app.

    Regards
