Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Security Update for Windows (KB5004946).

Have multiple systems failing to install KB5004946. Insrtallation completes without error, but upon reboot it is backed out.

Windows 10 Pro systems 1909.

Anyone else seeing this or have a solution?

There are several reasons why you see error 0x800F0922

The rollback is most probably because your OS is EOL.

You can mitigate this problem applying one of the two options described in Workaround section of: https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/vulnerability/CVE-2021-34527
