EXO Hybrid Configuration

Hello

I have Exchange 2016 ( 4 mailbox servers) i have to configure O365 hybrid configuration.

Is it mandatory to run the hybrid wizard on all Exchange 2016 servers located in my environment?

If i run the hybrid configuration on 1 mailbox server only and after sometime that server has been shutdown or has some hardware failure , what is the impact on environment ?

what are the recommendations in my scenario?

Step 16:
On the Organization FQDN page, enter the externally accessible FQDN for your Internet-facing Exchange server. Microsoft 365 and Office 365 use this FQDN to configure the service connectors for secure mail transport between your Exchange organizations. For example, enter "mail.contoso.com". Click Next.

The Wizard creates one endpoint to your on-prem Exchange Servers. If you have multiple Exchange Servers that you want to include, then they should be behind a load balancer.

If you only include one Exchange Server as the end-point, then if its down, the Hybrid connection will not work and you will need to bring that server up or re-run the wizard and choose another Exch Server as the endpoint.

Bottom line: Using a load-balanced connection with multiple servers is recommended.

When you run the hybrid wizard, you choose the FQDN of the load balancer as the endpoint. Ensure the certificates on each Exch Server all match and that FQDN is included on the certs.
The assumption is that the virtual directories on the Exch Servers are set to this load balanced FQDN and you are using 3rd party certs:

The wizard for the hybrid allow me to refer to one of my exchange servers so how can i add me loadbalancer FQDN?

note: all virtual directories on all exchange servers are the same
