Sharepoint 2016 User Profile Sync issue

I am trying to set up the user profile sync to import email and department from AD to SharePoint.

I have set up the user properties in Central Admin and started full sync.

the email got imported successfully from AD to Sharepoint. But for some unknown issue, the department attribute did not get imported

Per my test, you should map the Department to the attribute Department as following pictures show.

Hi, I have tried changing the attribute to Department and did full sync, but the department is still not being pulled into Sharepoint

Whether the Department value not import in the user profile in the central administration or not import in the profile properties section on the My Site profile page?

1.Make sure that you fill in Department value correctly in the AD.

2.Recreate a sync connection, then run a full sync.
3.Check ULS logs to find more clues.

1.Go to Central administration -> User profile service application -> Manage User Properties -> Department -> Check Policy Settings.

2.Go to Central administration -> Monitoring -> Review job definitions > Check whether User Profile Service Full Synchronization Timer Job is running.

I can't find User Profile Service Full Synchronization at the Review job definitions. but I have already start the full sync.

Managed to only find this job: User Profile Service Application - User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization. not sure if this is what u meant.

Hi,

Thanks for the assistance. Managed to find the issue. It is due to the User Profile service being turned off.
