How to deploy Store apps in MEMCM

What is the best way to deploy store apps using Configuration Manager? Is WSFB overkill, or nearing end of life? Is there an easier way? Intune currently isn’t an option for us.

MSfB is still a 100% supported solution, however, if you haven't implemented MSfB and you don't have a business-critical need to so, I suggest that you don't. Unfortunately, no additional information is available or can be given around this recommendation at this time.

Hi @jaybird283-2674,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I did some research and found no information that WSFB is near the end of its life.
Please check this article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-store/

And once WSFB is integrated with ConfigMgr, the apps will get automatically synced from the WSFB to ConfigMgr. Then we could view these apps in CM console and deploy them like deploy other apps.
This seems to be the optimal solution.
For more detail information, please use this article as a reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/apps/deploy-use/manage-apps-from-the-windows-store-for-business

Hope the above information can help you.

I guess we just wait till later 2022 for a solution then. Thanks for being honest with your recommendation to not implement MSfB. Really excited about Winget!

Correct. At the time I replied though, this was not publicly available information.

No, there's nothing new to share at this time. I fully understand that this is not ideal for your planning purposes, but for now, this is the way it is.
