Can not log into Teams

Hi when I try to log into teams, I get this message

'Someone has already set up Teams for your Organization'. Please use a different email.

I have attached a screen shot. The problem is I am the administrator of our small business, so no one else should be setting up teams for our business. Is there a way I can see what email is causing this problem, or better yet can we 'reset' this account so I can log in again.

My email that I am using is admin@xxx.com

Thanks,114727-capture5.jpg

Hi @JimODonnell-9204

For security purpose, I covered your private information in the error message. Thanks for your understanding.

In general, the possible causes are as below:

  • Someone has already set up Teams for you.

  • Your email address is tied to both a work and a personal account.

  • You're trying to sign up for your work account by using a free tenant.

You can try the resolutions in this link:

I am set up as a guess when using Microsoft Teams. Now every time I log out from any device and log back in, Microsoft Teams wants to confirm it is me who is login in and sends a code to cellphone number I do not use any more. What can I do to fix the situation? Remember I am using Microsoft Teams as a guess.
