Mapping a network drive that connects to SharePoint

I am trying to map a network drive to Sharepoint on Windows server 2019, but when I log out and then log in to the server, the drive does not reconnect.
To establish a connection again, I need to log into my SharePoint account via Internet Explorer and click the Open with Explorer button.
I need to log into my account whenever I open the Sharepoint site, and I have to pick an account and then log in without asking the "Stay signed in" option.

But when I log into SharePoint on a Windows 10 computer that is connected to my organization, I was only asked to pick an account the first time without entering my password. And in the Pick an account window under my account, it says Connected to Windows.

The next time when I go to the SharePoint site, I was not required to log in, and my network drive stayed connected even after reboot.

How can I make my account on Windows server 2019 not require logging in and reconnecting the network disk every time?

Hi @mortvivant-2618

Did you selected No to“Stay signed in" when logging in, then checked “Don’t show this again”?

Did you check the “Reconnect at sign-in” when mapping a network drive to SharePoint?
Have a try to map a new network drive to SharePoint with the “Reconnect at sign-in” unchecked.

Hi @YiLu-MSFT
1) When I log in for the first time and on subsequent logins, I do not have a window with a Stay signed in prompt.
When I log in to SharePoint, I first get this login window

And after entering my email address I get this window

Maybe my organization has different settings for logging into SharePoint and I am not getting a window with Stay signed in" option.

2) When I mapped a new network drive to SharePoint with the unchecked "Reconnect at sign-in" option, then after re-login there was no drive that I connected

Hi @mortvivant-2618

Please check if Password saving is truned on in IE.

  1. In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button , and then select Internet options.

  2. On the Content tab, under AutoComplete, select Settings.

  3. Select the User names and passwords on forms check box, and then select OK.

If it has been turned on, as you said, I also think it is affected by your organization’s authentication policy.

To your second issue, I cannot reproduce it on my end. I'm afraid it is hard to go on further troubleshooting. You can new a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center to confirm it with Microsoft
