When we have installed the client- O365/Office 2016 with exchange 2013, we are getting continuous password prompts. This scenario happens for connectivity from internet.
We tried the below registry key settings, but the issue is persistent.
Close Outlook.
Take a backup of registry
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover (add AutoDiscover key if not present). Add the below DWORD values:
PreferLocalXML 0
ExcludeHttpRedirect 0
ExcludeHttpsAutodiscoverDomain 1
ExcludeHttpsRootDomain 1
ExcludeScpLookup 1
ExcludeSrvRecord 1You may also need to add the same DWORD values to the following registry path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover
Re-launch outlook and observe the behavior.
Revert changes if any issues with Outlook connectivity
