Card - Background Colour Conditional Formatting

Hi,

I am trying to set up my conditional formatting for my card visualization using text values but I cannot get it to work.

I want to set up the color for three options

  • If text value = Green then the background color should be green

  • If text value = Amber then the background color should be orange

  • If text value = Red then the background color should be Red

I have only found a way (right clicking on background option in the formatting menu) of doing the conditional format based on numerical values. Is there a way around this?

I also tried using advance card but again I only found ways of doing it for number values.

I am using the free desktop version of PowerBI

Thanks!
