File Types Editor - Invalid Command

If I use the File Types Editor in my VS-2010 project and -

  1. Set a suitable name text

  2. Click in the Command slot and select the Primary Output from my project in the Application folder

  3. Enter a description text

  4. Add the relevant file extension (for me ctx)

  5. Browse and select an Icon from my Application folder

  6. Leave the MIME slot blank (what's this for?)

it is all accepted and no error is shown. However when I close and re-open the project I now have an Invalid Command error that indicates it is looking for the .exe version of the selected project, and the File Types entry is wavy-blue underlined. There is a copy of the project's .exe file in my Application folder but even with All Files (.) I can't see it to select. What am I missing?

To my knowledge there is no component named File Types Editor, perhaps you can share much more in details and if you can supply a small code sample?

Well - highlight the Assembly project in Solution Explorer and the available clickable icons/items above go (L to R) Properties, File System Editor, Registry Editor, File Types Editor ... plus 3 more.

I have used right-click Add File Type to add an entry, then populated its properties as above. Hopefully this image shows it:

Does that explain?
