.Net Framework Templates Missing After Update

Hi, I had visual studio 2019 16.3 and yesterday I did a update to latest version (16.10) and after update all the .net framework templates are gone and only .Net Core are available.

Before :

After :

I really need them back because I only work with .net framework and I don't want to manipulate xml stuff to make them work.
How can I get them back?

I even downgrade to the 16.3 again but it was the same.

Here's a detail of my installation config :

And here's templates without using classic dialog extension :

Are you sure that it is Visual Studio 2019? The dialogs look differently: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/create-new-project?view=vs-2019.

(If you have several versions, make sure to start Visual Studio 2019).

I use the following extension :
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=softworkz.SwitchProjectDialog

Note : It doesn't make any changes to items, they are same with classic dialog off as well.

The extension homepage indicates that it was last updated on 9/25/2019 to "work with VS 2019 16.3". Maybe its not compatible with VS 2019 16.10.4? Have you considered uninstalling it? Or starting VS 2019 in safe mode so that extensions are not loaded?

By the way, the “Q & A” section of the extension mentions another problem related to templates.

Hi, @JuanMartinoHernandez-8750

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I updated my Visual Studio2019 to the latest version but I can't reproduce your issue.

You can try to repair Visual Studio. If the issue still exists, you can try to re-download and install Visual Studio through following steps:

  1. Refer to this document to remove all components of visual studio: Remove Visual Studio

  2. Re-download VS installer: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/

You can also report this issue with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Installer.

Sincerely,
Peng

Just run visual studio installer. Select modify and add desktop applications support.
