TPM 2.0 Verify Existence and Device Requirements Test of PTT

Hi

We met the WHLK issue recently. Would you please help to check.
The item is TPM 2.0 Verify Existence and Device Requirements Test and we switch to PTT test.
Please refer to following information.

Recreate Steps:
1. Setup WHLK environment.
2. Boot to BIOS -> Security -> Trusted Computing, Enable Security Device Support.
3. Check TPM Device Selection is PTT.
4. Boot to OS and open Windows Hardware Lab Kit and select test item "TPM 2.0 Verify Existence and Device Requirements Test".
5. Click "Run Selected" to start test.

Configuration:
OS version: Windows 10 SAC 21H1
OS Build version: 19043.1081
ME FW version: 12.0.49.1534

Filter apply:
Testing with filters_20210701, test results was failed. test log refer to attachments.
Testing with filters_20210329, test results was passed.

We also check the filters_20210701 and edit by text editor. The filter is #48744 and latest version 16 can not filter but version 15 works fine.

Would you please let us know what's happen to filters_20210701? Can I modify it to #48744 version 15 just
compliance test instead of real MS logo get.

Hi,

Thanks for post on our forum!

After research, it seems that you developed some custom apps or scripts and use TPM 2.0 Verify Existence and Device Requirements Test to run certain tests, right? If so, then this issue may be beyond our scope, you can try to re-post your case on this forum:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/topics/windows-hardware-wdk-general.html

From our perspective, you can try to check if your GPO for TPM test is appropriate. Go to Edit group policy>> Computer Configuration>> System>> Trusted Platform Module Services.

Thanks for your support and understanding!

Joan

Hi Joan

II am not sure if I put it at right place, so post it again.

We do not develop the custom app for TPM and it is WHLK(Windows Hardware Lab Kit) test from Microsoft.
It is related to Microsoft filter. We can pass in filters_20210329, but failed in filters_20210701.
Two filters are all from Microsoft official site. (https://docs.microsoft.com/zh-tw/windows-hardware/test/hlk/user/windows-hardware-lab-kit-filters)

Would you please check it and let me know if we post the question in right page.

Wayne

Hi,

Thanks for your patience!

After a long research with my colleagues, we think you should re-post your issue on wdk forum, since both products WHLK and Microsoft filter belong to Windows Hardware Lab Kit. Here is the link:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/topics/windows-hardware-wdk.html

Besides, Since you want to ask a WHLK filter related question, you need to add corresponding tag, such as wdk or hardware development. Windows-10-general tag is used for discussing Windows 10 built-in features and general issue, it is not related to hardware development and test. So you need to remove this windows-10-general tag as well, otherwise your issue will pop up on our forum again.

Thanks for understanding and cooperating!

BR,
Joan
