Hi! The current behavior of ZoomIt draw is such that lines and arrows drawn at near-90 degrees automatically get snapped into 90 degrees. Sometimes this is a nice feature, while at other times it is terribly frustrating.
Let's say I'm sharing my screen during a Teams meeting and I attempt to use ZoomIt to connect some concepts on my screen. I've recreated a this situation in the illustration below:
I can connect Fire and Stop just fine (hence green), but not Note and Bow (hence red).
In fact, no matter how hard I try I will never succeed in connecting Note or Bow to their correct words, because the line will always snap to grid since it is close to 90 degrees. (My current workaround is to draw it manually in freehand, which invariably results in some misshapen monstrosity).
While I don't normally spend my workday playing games of compound word matching, I'm sure you can see how this could potentially be frustrating in any number of situations.
There is merit to the snap-to-grid functionality of course (as in the case of Stop-Watch), but I wish I could somehow suppress this behavior, say in a similar fashion to how the Alt key suppresses snap-to-grid functionality in Office apps like PowerPoint.
Is there a way? If not, may I submit this as a feature request?
