MS Edge Modify Extension Toolbar

Hi all,

We are managing browser policies through reg keys determining which extensions should be allowed and installed.

We have an extension which is force installed both on our Chrome store and Edge store. This means for Edge that the extension will show twice as we are allowing Chrome store to interact with the browser.

Are there any ways I can hide the keys on the toolbar using a registry setting or similar? I have not yet been able to find any my own.

I'm interested in an automated solution as we have lots of users.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @DenStorePingvin-2833,

If you want to hide the icon of the extension, I think this cannot be achieved by the method you described, and I even did not find the relevant settings in the Edge group policy. The only thing you can do is to manually right-click the extension icon ->'hide from toolbar'. If I misunderstand anything, could you describe your problem in more detail?

You didn't misunderstand anything.
However manually hiding it is not an option with over 5000 users.

Hi @DenStorePingvin-2833 , You could try to make suggestions to the relevant team, press Alt + Shift + I in Edge and send your feedback.
