Remote desktop for Mac failing connecting after initial successful connections

MacOS 10.14.6, RDP 10.6.7 1896 (and earlier and current beta)

I just started having this problem after the last set of updates on my computer. I can connect once to any number of computers with RDP, but once a connection has been disconnected, I cannot reconnect to the lost connection nor connect to any new computers, the connection attempts hang at "Configuring remote PC" Restarting the app does not resolve the issue, I have had to reboot my computer. I do use smart card auth for remotes, I have removed the card and attempted connections, no difference.

Has anyone else run into this?

Hi,
Per your description, it seemed the problem was occurred after you installed some updates on your client computer, where to run the remote desktop client for mac, please feel free to correct if anything misunderstood.

1.Have you tried to reconfigure the remote connection settings after the updates?
Like checking or unchecking the "reconnect if the connection is dropped"

2.Moreover, if reboot the client computer could help to resolve the issue, probably it is the compatibility issue between the Mac updates and the RDC for mac version, for which , it is suggested to report the issue with more details to help product team to verify.

Open the application > Help > Report an Issue.

3.If rebooting the target computer could help, you could manually check the target computer by launching out Task manager and verify if previous remote connection still persists.
