How to view connection logs for RRAS on server 2019

Hello,

We have RRAS running primarily SSTP VPNs for ends users on Windows Server 2019.
IPSec/IKEv2 shared secret is enabled, and I am trying to find out if any connections have been made on anything other than SSTP.

Where can I find logs for RRAS to try and identify such clients?

Many thanks
James

Hi @JamesEdmonds-7766,

If you want to enable historical reporting for VPN connection. Configure accounting as picture below:

Then you generate the report about VPN connection history:

For more details about generating a usage report for remote clients using historical data, please refer to the following article:

Hi ,

Did you mean that you want to monitor connected remote clients for activity and VPN types? Please feel free to let me know if I have any misunderstanding.

If yes, you can use the management console on the Remote Access server to monitor remote client activity and status.

Protocol/Tunnel filed will show the transitioning technology that is used by the remote client. E.g.: PPTP, L2TP, SSTP, or IKEv2.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I should have clarified that I am interested in historical logging, so I can see if there have been historic connections of a certain VPN type.
I believe the above will only show me point in time connections.

Many thanks
James
