How to exclude particular alert from the subscription critera

Hi All,

we are using Veeam VM ware Management pack 9.0 on SCOM 2019 for monitoring VM ware servers and its components.

I have created a command subscription) with the criteria below to send the ticket to the Infra support group.119118-alert-name-contain-veeam-vmware.png

Below are few sample alerts which Contains Veeam VMware in the Alert name.

Veeam VMware: Datastore Free Space Analysis
Veeam VMware: vSphere Host CPU Usage Analysis
Veeam VMware: Resource Pool CPU Usage Analysis
Veeam VMware: Host Connection Status
Veeam VMware: Cannot synchronise vSphere Host
Veeam VMware: Dataset Processing Error
Veeam VMware Collector: Extensions Service status

Out of these alerts i want only "Veeam VMware Collector: Extensions Service status" should ticketed to (Using SCSM) SCOM Support team.

How can i exclude the only particular alert from the above criteria.

Thanks,
Ravi shankar

Hi,

Have we tried adding an expression to exclude the others like below?

Alertname does not contain "Veeam VMware: "

You may do it by modify the subscription criteria XML definition.

Do you mean that only the last one should send out the notification or execute the command pre-defined?

For the last one in the above example, it contains "Veeam VMware", however it doesn't contain "Veeam VMware: " (notice the colon and space characters)
