HDInsight cluster stuck in 'delete' state

I issued a delete request for an HDInsight cluster over 12 hours ago, and it now says 'Deleting'.

Anyway to complete the deletion of the cluster?

Hi @eb-7696,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and sorry for your experience with this issue.

Could you please confirm if you are still having the issue or it was resolved? In case if the issue persists, could you please try deleting the HDInsight cluster by using Azure powershell as below:

 Remove-AzHDInsightCluster -ClusterName <Cluster Name>

For more info please refer to this doc: Delete clusters - Manage Apache Hadoop clusters in HDInsight by using Azure PowerShell

In case if this didn't help to resolve the issue, the I would recommend you to file a support ticket if you have a support plan, so that a support engineer can work with product team to delete the cluster from backend and also can identity the root cause and apply a fix for it. In case if you don't have a support plan, please do let us know here so that we can work with you offline to resolve this issue.

We look forward to your response.

Thank you

I am having problems installing Az Powershell.
I am currently running Windows Powershell v5.1 with PowerShellGet v1.0.0.1.
When attempting to upgrade PowerShellGet with cmd: 'Install-Module PowerShellGet -Force -Verbose', I get error message below:
