How to direct all usernames @mydomain emails to my own email in Outlook

I have been recently swtched from GoDaddy email system to the Outlook. In the previous system setting was that all and any username @mydomain emails went to my email. Apparently, in the Outlook that does not work and I have not found any setting to define such behavior. Sender sending to one of those other usernames receives

"Your message was rejected by the recipient's domain because the recipient's email address isn't listed in the domain's directory. "

How to revert to the previous , desired, behavior?

So you want a "catch all" mailbox of sorts? That's not natively supported in O365, but you can achieve something similar via a Mail flow rule: https://www.undocumented-features.com/2021/02/10/create-a-catch-all-mailbox-in-office-365/

I also changed the tags for your question to better match the subject.

Hi @dusamalmaleticorg-0964,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I detailedly read your issue above, but got confused at some points:

  • I have been recently swtched from GoDaddy email system to the Outlook.
Do you mean that you are using Outlook desktop client (like Outlook 2019 or Outlook 365)? Or you migrated your mail server from GoDaddy to other different mail server? If yes, what is your current mail server now?

  • In the previous system setting was that all and any username @mydomain emails went to my email.
May I understand that you would like to redirect emails from @mydomain to another email account? If yes, you could try using an Outlook client rule to achieve that:

  • Sender sending to one of those other usernames receives errors. "Your message was rejected by the recipient's domain because the recipient's email address isn't listed in the domain's directory. "
According to the error message you mentioned above, looks like this error is more related to a delivery issue, instead of an email management issue we discussed above. In order to further research about your issue, would you mind providing us with the detailed NDR information? Are the sender and the recipient in the same domain?

Any update, please feel free to post back.
