Hi,

Thank you for posting the question to Q&A forum.

If you would like to manually test the failover of file server service from one node to another, please follow below steps.
Failover Cluster Manager>Expand the cluster>Click "Roles">Right click the file server role>Click "Move">Click "Select Node">Choose another node as the destination.

If you would like to manually failover all resources from one node to another, please follow below steps.
Failover Cluster Manager>Click Nodes>Right-click on one node you want to clear of resource>Select Pause>Drain roles.

Thanks but what Drain roles means?

That means stopped and moved all the roles (services and resources) on this node to other nodes.
You can also move all the roles back to this node later.

But why we should click on Resume/Fail Roles Back later if by pausing it then roles should not be moved to another node?

Sorry, I do not understand your question well.

When you pause the node and do not drain roles, the roles will not be moved to another node. You can Resume it (Fail roles back or do not fail roles back has no difference).
When you pause the node and drain roles, the roles will be moved to another node. You can resume the node with roles back (Fail Roles back) or without roles back (Do not fail roles back). If you do not fail roles back but only resume the node, it will be a backup node in case another node goes down.

You can do tests by yourself and check the Owner Node status.
