VM Migration

When we migrate a VM using azure migrate to Azure and the subnet changes from onpremise to azure , does the VM IP change automatically when the migration is done or does it need to be changed manually

Hi @Vishu-2318 ,

good practice is to use/set DHCP for the IP of the VM before migration via Azure Migrate.
This way the migrated VM gets the new IP of the Azure subnet automatically.

If you migrate Linux VMs via Azure migrate it's required to set the ip config to DHCP before migrating the VM.
If you migrate a Windows VM in Azure the ip config is modified during the migration process.
