Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory and Windows 10 Education bootloop

Good Day to whomever it may concern, I hope you are well,

I need some assistance with a server that I have that is running Windows Server 2012 R2. The Active Directory is set up and working for a few years now. Recently the department of education for our region advised that they'll need to move PCs to Windows 10 Education for Teachers and Students instead of Win 10 Pro. If we join the domain as Win 10 Pro there is no issue everything works smoothly. If we use a newly upgraded PC from 10 Pro to Education the machine either goes into a boot loop and never reaches the login screen or it reaches the login screen but I can't switch off the PC other than hard resetting, I can't log in to any AD or a local account on the machine. This issue is only on the existing Active directory and the department has not experienced this issue with any other schools.

Can anyone recommend where I can start as I did not set up this AD and don't have much knowledge on the matter? Changing the PC name does not make a difference.

I have had a hard time finding anyone else with a similar issue, I can't really access any logs on the machine as I can't boot into Windows 10 Education.

Thanks and kind regards
Krynauw Kruger

Hi Everyone,

Just an update, when I formatted the machines I used the reset function and download image from the cloud and still the issue occurred. I decided to format the drive full and reinstall from a USB. I am not sure what caused this issue but this is what I expect from Lenovo's I have so many issues with them, regardless of the model or year.

Thanks
Krynauw
