Ultra storage part of the same capacity pool (Azure netapp files) the throughput for 60tb volume is less than 40Tb

“The problem is that using the volume with 60 TiB quota, the throughput is less than the one with 40 TiB quota

40 TiB volume

60tb Volume :

Why are we seeing this behavior ? I would expect 60Tb to provide more throughput in the above command . What i am doing wrong ?

@Sumarigo-MSFT ..Can you please help me with the above question ?

@kumarkaushal-1277 There could be several reasons for the issue
Are facing this issue on On-perm or Azure VM(If azure VM can you check the SKU)? Check the Network throughput?

For example, if a Ultra service level capacity pool and a volume provisioned with a 400GiB quota, the maximum possible throughput they could get with that volume would be:

128 (MiB/s) (1TiB 0.4) = 51.2MiB/s

I wish to engage with you offline for a closer look and provide a quick and specialized assistance, please send an email with subject line “Attn:subm” to AzCommunity[at]Microsoft[dot]com referencing this thread and the Azure subscription ID, I will follow-up with you.

@Sumarigo-MSFT .. Both the VM are of the same SKU .Standard E64-32ds_v4 (32 vcpus, 504 GiB memory) .. I will check the network throughput when we are running this command . DO you want me to check any other thing ?

i have another question here : i was reading the below article and it says that for ULTRA 128MiB/s per TB . Now in this i have 40 Tb and 60TB .. then total throughput or if i term it as GROSS that i will get is 5120(For 40 Tb ) and 7680(for 60tb)..

Thanks for offering the help and yes will come back to you once i have checked the network throughput .

@Sumarigo-MSFT ... We did found a difference that the working VM had the accelerated networking enabled and non-working one did not . However even after enabling accelerated networking we still see the same results .

I have raised a Microsoft ticket on these lines and the engineer said that he will get back to the engineering team . Should i tell the engineer to contact you ?
