how do i register a school's domain name for azure for students

i had to make sure my students are eligible for azure for students i thought everything is going will until one of my students told me that he cannot sign up for azure for students because the school's domain name is not registered with microsoft, and am sure that the school's emails are working properly.

any help will be appreciated.
