SIG sharing image with outside of my orgination

Hi,
We have a Shared image gallery image version want to shared with outside origination. We followed the steps given in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/shared-images-portal#share-the-gallery. by giving e-mail address and read access.
The user received the invitation and accept it and was able to see the gallery and all of the image definitions and versions. User try to launch the VM from his azure portal. The issue here is that the subscription presented to the user to launch VM is the SIG's subscription. We where expecting user can select his own subscription and associated resources for launching the VM.
Is this is the way SIG works?
Also, the image is specialized, however, VM launch portal is asking for osProfile info (Admin username, password etc). How the user launch a VM with a specialized SIG image.
any pointers are appropriated.
Thanks
Ramki

@RamkiKunnath-8492 Apologies for the delay in response and all the inconvenience caused because of the issue.

As per your mentioned ask the scenario is more around across tenant SIG sharing. In this scenario, creating VMs from the portal in this scenario is not supported, you need to use PowerShell or Azure CLI. As mentioned here it won't be possible through Portal

You can refer to the mentioned article and should be able to deploy it.

Hope it helps!!!

Hi, Thanks for the post.

yes, its possible to share the SIG with other Tenant and sub.

Follow this ]post is to briefly explain how you can share an image in the shared image gallery with another subscription in a different tenant.

Hello Dev073,
Thank you for the answer.
However, the question was on launching a VM from Azure portal by "other origination" shared through e-mail invitation.

As mentioned, "other origination" can see the our image from his VM portal but see two issues.
a) The VM launching subscription is listed as our subscription
b) The SIG image "os-state specialized". But the VM portal is asking for osProfile info (Admin username, password etc).
Regards
Ramki
