server backup to pause on drive or network interruption

I'm backing up server 2016 over VPN to a remote computer, using regular server backup app. The whole backup usually takes about 3 days to complete (because of a slow upload). Sometimes there's interruption with the internet and backup fails, usually at the 2nd partition. Is there a way (like a command line) for the back to pause if there's an interruption, and retry every minutes or so?

Thanks.

Hi @DimaR-2090,

Unfortunately there is no pause option/command in Windows Server Backup (WSB), as this is more of a simple backup solution that don't offer that many features.

If this is a feature you would require, you might want to check for third-party solutions.
