Office Application Share File Window Re-Sizes Smaller for each address added - and won't re-size larger

When using any Office application, if you request to 'Share File' the window defaults to less than 'full size' and continue to shrink each time a new person is added to the Share To list. There is no ability to re-size the window - so eventually, after adding a few names, the screen minimizes so that nothing can be seen anymore. I have run the 'Repair' option, and no improvement was seen. This phenomenon occurs in all Office applications.

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

Registered just to chime in that I'm experiencing this with a few users as well. Just started on Friday.

Worth noting that the share window with the problem is populated from the OneDrive app, not Office 365. However re-installing OneDrive didn't fix this issue for me. I'll be keeping tabs on this thread for a possible fix.

Currently have both users installing the 21H1 feature update and will see if that helps.

Hi @AlanJacobson-9657 ,

According to your description, your problem is much related to Office. Therefore, we will remove the "office-sharepoint-online" tag and "office-onedrive-client-itpro" tag.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to reply.

Thanks

When in any Office Desktop Application and hitting Share under File Menu the Share Screen Pop-up is incorrectly sized and continues to shrink any time a name is added (until completely not usable).

Running Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.19042 and Office 365)

@AlanJacobson-9657

As JohnKorchok suggested, please share us more information of your Office, Windows system and this issue for further analysis.

On my environment with Windows 10 20H2, Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (Version 2017 Build 14228.20226), this issue could not be reproduced.
Please update Office to the latest to check this issue.

Besides, I would suggest you go to OneDrive online or local OneDrive folder, then choose one file and try to share it with others to have a check.

OP posted a screenshot, which identically matches my symptoms as well. Both of us have posted version numbers. Windows 10 version 20H2 Office Version 2102 (Build 13801.20808)

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Because this issue has a specific hardware environment, our support is only provided through the Q&A forum. If the settings I suggested do not work, for better analysis and troubleshooting, I suggest you open a support ticket with Microsoft Support to test remotely.
Thanks for your understanding.

It appears that the issue is related to monitor resolution. When I reduce the resolution from the 4k monitor I have down to a lower resolution the problem resolves. So if you want to use the 'Sharing' feature, it appears you can't use high resolution screens.

Thanks for your sharing.

You may also go to File > Options > General and in the User Interface Options section look for the When using multiple displays options, then try the Optimize for compatibility for a check.

Did you do anything outside of this before testing that you can remember? Adjusting resolution isn't having any impact for me. Users have external monitors but I also tried adjusting solely their laptop screen resolution while it was connected to nothing else with no luck.

If it helps, no resolutions worked other than 1920 x 1080. Try that one. :-)

Do you remember what your scaling percentage was at? I did 1080p with no fix, the scaling was at 100% I think.
