Annotation of a screen share during a Teams meeting

When will it be possible for participants to annotate on a shared screen during a Teams meeting? There was a UserVoice with several votes on this topic, but I can't seem to find any information here in Q+A now that the Teams UserVoice forum has been deactivated. This is a heavily used features in Zoom that is not available in Teams. Additionally, is there any recommended workaround (other than ZoomIt)?

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

I have added a uservoice again, it seems that all the above have been deleted

Yes it should work, however it is a global issue and only appears to be working on some Android versions or if you're using a Developer preview of Teams, you can follow along the thread below about the same question:

Hi @AW1112 ,

I could compeletely understand what you are requesting, but currently we did not receive any update about this feature.
As a workaround, please consider using the WhiteBoard in Sharing options.

Regarding Teams UserVoice site, we are still investigating. And if there is any update, I will update here to let you know:)

Thank you for your response. The WhiteBoard option does not satisfy the same need, as it does not allow for users to annotate on a screen. For example, it could be annotating over a shared screen with an engineer, a customer on a Project Plan, a development team reviewing 1000s lines of code, etc. They have tried the ZoomIt plugin, but this isn't working how they intended, and they can't expect people to give control over their machines either.

Hi @AW1112 ,

The UserVoice is now back. Here is the suggestion: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/32026894-ability-for-meeting-participants-to-draw-on-shared

Yes Microsoft has been realized this function is wildly needed. It is suggested to vote and leave a comment there.

Best regards,
Lou

7th July update enables this in particular settings.

Only for paid accounts.

And only enabled in full screen sharing. You can not annotate on a shared window.
