Backup Notifications Questions

I keep getting a backup failure notification on a server that is turned off and has backups turned off. This server was indeed backed up in the past, but that is no longer necessary.

Any insight as to why I would still be getting alerts?

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

Stan,

Thank you for the response. The server has been turned off for some time and the error that it is sending me is "could not communicate with the VM agent for snapshot status." If the server is turned off then the error is definitely legitimate. What was throwing me off was that I was looking at the Backup Settings Blade for the server as opposed to the Backup Vault. Sure enough, in the vault sits a backup job for weekly backups which has now been deleted. I'll know for sure on Sunday morning, but this one looks like it is resolved.

Hi,
you have probably not delete the backup item. When you delete backup item you can opt-in at deleting the backup data as well or retain data. More here and here.
