using Microsoft-Remotedesktop iPad dims when locked

We use the Microsoft Remote Desktop app on several iPads to access Windows PCs.

iPads of different generations, but noticeably always with the latest iPadOS and Microsoft Remote Desktop app version.

Until recently, this has actually always worked smoothly, but for a few weeks now a very strange problem has been occurring, which I personally, as a long-time Apple user, could not believe until I saw it with my own eyes: the iPad suddenly no longer responds to the Home button and on the lock button it does not turn off the display but it dims. On the iPads only the app Microsoft-Remotedesktop is installed, all native apps that are deletable were deleted, only few settings were made: iCloud deactivated, iMessage and FaceTime deactivated, automatic updates in the App Store and for iPadOS active.

I attached a video so you can understand it better or see the unbelievable.

Does anyone have the same problem or know of this problem?

Hello,

I looks like a remote management issue. In this case I would rather with Apple support to understand what is aplying this "policies".

You can try also disabling remote management on the OS:

In Remote Desktop , enter the following command to disable remote management and deny previously available logins:

sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -deactivate

I think it was the NLA enforcement in the iOS Settings App in the RD-Client Settings
