Event Hub routing external via Private Link

I want to present an Event Hub on a custom domain name that will route through Azure Front Door and then to my internal network before using the Private Link attached to the Event Hub.

I have tried to use a NAT rule on the Azure Firewall but the traffic is being rejected.

Can anyone suggest how this should be achieved?

Hello @AidanBree-2512 ,

Apologies for the delay in response.

Azure Event Hub is an event ingestion PaaS service. May I know why you want to add it to the Azure Front Door backend?
Enabling private endpoints on Event Hubs can prevent other Azure services from interacting with Event Hubs. Requests that are blocked include those from other Azure services, from the Azure portal, from logging and metrics services, and so on. As an exception, you can allow access to Event Hubs resources from certain trusted services even when private endpoints are enabled. For a list of trusted services, see Trusted services.

Could you please provide some more details on your requirement?
Do you have a network diagram of your setup & requirement that you can share for better understanding?

Thanks,
Gita
