rdp on desktop cant save password '... not fully verified ...' (moved dns server from dc to cisco router)

hi all

the title basically says it all

i have moved my dns server from the dc to a cisco router
not really but the desktop is using now the cisco the dc dns is still running
the cisco has static entries and neither gets nor sends updates to the dc dns

since then my remote desktop connections dont allow me to save my passwords on my win 10 desktop (part of domain over domain network)

why? how can i fix it?

Try to ping your Domain name

Also, try using nslookup and check if it resolve your domain name...

Your Windows 10 should use the DC / DNS Server IP Address.

solved it

i was using a not fully qualified address
x instead of x.domain.local and the dns was returning x.domain.com
over saw the "com" in the reason for the warning / inability to save passwords
